This is the card I sent to my coworkers this year. It was created by the phenomenal Dyna Moe. Please visit her site and hire her. Because she is amazing.
Here's a short interview I did for the AMC Mad Men site based on viewer-submitted questions.
Also, try to avoid Target four days before Christmas. Dear heavens, people are insane.
1. This kid.
The song the doctors had playing in the O.R. while Bea was being born via C-section?
Know how I know?
Because someone reported seeing me at the grocery store on Defamer:
12/8/07 - Saw Rich Sommer ("Harry Crane" from "Mad Men" and "Other Guy" from "Devil Wears Prada") at the Ralph's at Burbank and Van Nuys, buying a wee half-pint of store-brand heavy cream (which he carried out in-hand...perhaps too eco-conscious to take a bag for one item...or just very proud of his purchase). I don't think I've ever actually seen anyone buy heavy cream, even out here in the backwater Valley. He looked thinner than on TV, though, so the cream isn't doing any damage, I guess. He was alone, sort of distracted and fidgety, wearing glasses, and very, very tall.
Let me explain a few things.
1. I chose not to get a bag because it was only a little carton of heavy cream. We have a million bags at home. I figured I didn't need another one for my tiny purchase.
2. I was buying the cream to make my first-ever batch of homemade eggnog for a little cookie swap we were having. Because I am THAT domestic.
3. I may have seemed "distracted and fidgety," but only because it was my third trip to the store for ingredients within approximately sixty minutes. Because I read recipes line by line. And apparently leave too hastily to read the whole thing at once.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go move to another part of town.
Have you ever used a sweater shaver?
Seriously.
It's awesome.
I've attacked an old ski cap, our couch pillows, and, of course, a sweater.
Next up: The car seats.
Well, the producers broke off the negotiations with the WGA today.
They say they will return to the table when they receive a letter from the WGA stating that it will retract its demands.
The WGA has stated that they remain open to further negotiation, but that they will not simply retract their demands.
Nor should they.
Ever.
I will take a class called "Speaker Installing and Making It Your Career" before I support another crappy deal for artists.
Here we go: Round Two.
