And why is that lucky, you ask?
Because it means you can watch Saturday Night Live.
Okay, you say, I've done that before. Why does that make me lucky?
Because SNL just added one of the funniest people in the world to their cast.
This is Bobby Moynihan.
Bobby was performing at the UCB when I was there. I became friends with Charlie and Eugene, who wrote and performed a sketch show with Bobby called "Buffoons."
I think I saw it a billion times.
Every time we had friends or family in town, we would drag them to the UCB to see these guys.
They are all incredibly awesome.
And now, one of them is getting his due.
Bobby is easily one of the most talented, kind and down-to-earth people I met in my time in NYC.
Oh, my. You people have no idea what you're in for.
Congrats, Bobby! I cannot tell you how happy this news makes me.

UCB is definitely producing the best comedy talent around these days.
For a while it seemed that all the hot comedians were out of Second City Chicago, then all of a sudden The Groundlings were everywhere, then SC Chicago again and now its UCB.
Why is it that great comedy talent clusters together in a way that great dramatic talent doesn’t (aside from the Royal Shakespeare Company or something like that)?
Congratulations! I've been watching Mad Men from the first night the pilot aired, and was THRILLED to see you guys win the big one! Totally awesome!
