Wow! I not check in for a bit and several new posts! - Haha, running for prez. Seriously, we could do a lot worse. --- Congrats on all the Emmys! Ya'll seem to be enjoying it and that's the most important thing. And thanks for the heads-up on the marathon. I'll have to scrub some DVR room, but I'll definitely set something up. I haven't seen that many epis but only because I stumbled across your blog late December and was an idiot and didn't know you were awesome actor-dude until I, like, started noticing the references *lol* But now I'm all geared and ready. I'll get tons of people to watch, too. For whatever reason, ppl tend to do what I say. Thus the moniker "Chief Reindeer". Even after college, they still call me Chief! ---- And, dude, you soooo should be getting something extra for your grass-roots marketing here. Yeah, I think we'll all enjoy it, too! Thanks!

Congratulations to all of you. Sixteen nominations is nothing short of epic, each one richly deserved. I remember watching Mad Men last summer when it was first on, wondering if the Emmys would be forward-thinking enough to recognize it. Then I was so disappointed for you that you weren't able to really "have your moment" during the Globes because of the strike. I'm seriously thrilled for the success of Mad Men and can't wait until the 27th.
It's excitement to the brink. A) A brilliant show gets the kudos it deserves (and though with 16 you kind of can't complain, we kind of did, because several were overlooked, including, half-randomly, Anne Dudek for House), and B) A low-ish rated show gets the exposure it has sorely lacked.

The surreality that is my life: I got congratulatory phone calls. Of course, the nature of the conversations was, Wow, you might be on to something. And I was all, Ya think?

16 Emmy nominations, baby!

Congratulations on the nods. I heard about the show a lot and I finally got to catch it today thanks to the marathon. I can honestly say it is one of my favorite shows ever...it's pretty bad ass. I have already got my roommates addicted to it, and we ordered the first season. All this in one day. And you're a great actor man...I love the character. Can't wait for season 2!

My husband and I had our own marathon of Mad Men last week, watching 2-3 episodes a night. His favorite character is Betty, although he said he relates most to Harry Crane (although he didn't cop to waking up on the couch in his office with a half-naked secretary, just the "good guy in a bad environment" part).

I think the entire cast should host the Emmys. I'm just sayin'.

Season One was delicious, carefully illustrated but without being overwhelmed by detail...perfect, perfect. (when you dashed out of the presentation room after Don's 'carousel' speech...that was the emphasis that moved me to tears)

A co-worker gave me the smokin' S1 DVD set - little knowing that it was a limited edition. Ha!
