Oh, yeah. I can understand that.
I have to agree, and disagree... and here's why

Yes, the subject matter is repulsive - not just the 'fat-suit' but the 'race-manipulation' that goes on in this movie - i'm surprised some groups weren't upset my Eddie Murphy's interpratation of tha Asian race. That being said, if you're going to do fat suits and convincing race mapnipulation, who better than Rick Baker. It's too bad that Rick has to go slumming into this kind of product these days - what with CGI and so many other competitors, (WETA) entering the difficult field of makeup. It's sad to see him come out of 'semi-retirement' for this.

I also forgot to mention - What also hurts about this picture is that more people will pick up and buy/rent "Norbit" instead of the FAR SUPERIOR "Notes on a Scandal"

"Notes" is so good.

Look, Rick Baker deserves any accolades he gets.

But the fact that Norbit has been nominated for an Oscar is a travesty.

So therein lies the conundrum.
thereindeed...

I'm scratching my head on this one:

[this is good]

Wah! My whole post didn't go through. Not sure why...

Well I just said a Razzie and Oscar nom in the same year is quite impressive, ha!

I am glad to see that someone else is as perplexed by this nomination as I am.
