Benjamin, my other nephew (not my 17 year old one mentioned in the above, sister-generated comment) is 21 months old and still doesn't so much sleep. He'd rather play. You know, or scream.
My second one was like that. Well, she would sleep at night if I was holding her. If I even thought about putting her down, she would read my mind and start fussing and fighting.
This will pass. When she's a teenager she'll do nothing but sleep!
for some reason it didn't get my whole thought... I was saying in a few years you'll forget all about the not sleeping thing and have another baby... you always forget about the lack of sleep!

When my son was born, my uncle sent me a card that said "Who needs sleep when you have round the clock entertainment?"
This may have something to do with why my son is an only child.
By the way, he's seventeen now, and he sleeps through the night.
