Plagiocephaly, schmagiocephaly.
Bea has a flat head.
Not totally flat, but there's a big, flat spot back and to the right.
Back and to the right.
It looks like this, but not as severe:
Anyway, her head's flat.
So last week, we took her in to get fitted for a pretty little helmet which will help her head grow into a nice, round shape. You know, so that when she makes her hair into a ponytail someday, it's not creepy-crooked.
Or when she shaves her head. Or whatever she ever chooses to do. It's her head; we just want to round it out for her.
So, for the next 3-5 months, she will be in a helmet. She looks like a pink Spaceball.
Also, there is a large opening on top of the helmet. I discovered that I can fit stacking cups into the hole perfectly.
Let the fun begin.

It's actually a good thing you got this figured out so early. I had a friend who had to battle with Doctors and Insurance companies for 3 years to get the corrective helmet for her daughter! Both of her daughters had it, so it's something to watch for if you guys decide to give Bea a sibling.
I love the picture too!
While the pink helmet is stylin' and good for potential ponytails, a flat head would provide a better canvas for any future flaming-dragon skull tattoos. Just something to keep in mind, since I know you're a good daddy and want to provide a breadth of opportunity for Bea. ;)

I like it! Hey, I'm a professional in this matter, medical lingo that is (I'm a medical transcriptionist), and you guys aren't too far off at all! Tortus = twisted and collum = neck. It's actually torticollis, but I'm totally impressed at your nerdery.
